Year-round Swim Information

July 30th

Hello!

Thanks to everyone who was able to come out this afternoon to celebrate the end of the summer season. We've had an incredible season and love seeing how much each of these have grown! It goes by so fast, and August is already around the corner, which is also the start of the year-round team to be back in gear. I've copied an email from Coach David below that has details about the USA team, and attached is a flyer with the practice schedule summary.

Coach David is our head coach over both Cary and Raleigh, and we are excited to have 2 assistants who will be coaching at our Raleigh club. More info in David's email as well there.

If you have any questions about placement, where your child would fit if you're interested in year-round, please let us know. Lauryn and he can help with deciding where the next best fit is!

Happy Friday,

I hope all the swimmers had a great break. I have some very exciting news for the team.

I would like to welcome Kendall Kahl and Laura Barton to the Life Time Raleigh swim team as the new assistant coaches.

Laura was born and raised in Durham and swam competitively for 10 years on various teams in Durham and Chapel Hill. Laura studied Biomedical Engineering at UNC and Ohio State, where she played on the club water polo teams, and currently works in pharmaceutical drug development. Throughout high school and college, Laura spent her summers lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons and coaching swim team, and she’s so excited to be back on the pool deck joining the Lifetime Swim Team! Laura looks forward to getting to know the team and hopes to help swimmers reach their full potential while growing their love for the sport.

Posted below is the schedule for the upcoming season, starting back up this Monday.

Developmental: Tuesday and Friday 5:30pm-6:15pm

Bronze: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 5:30pm-6:30pm, as well as Saturday mornings from 11:00am-12:00pm

Silver and Gold: Monday through Friday 6:30pm-8:00pm, as well as Saturday from 9:30am-11:00am

I have posted the upcoming meet schedule in this email. Our first USA meet will be on October 20th at the Orange County Sportsplex in Hillsborough.

All swimmers bronze level or higher will need to be registered with USA Swimming by the end of September with a premium membership. I will be sending the registration link after this email is sent. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
