Season wrap-up and Celebration

Hello Parents!

Some very important information so please read through its entirety...

Another great meet last night and a Win for the books!  We are so proud of all our swimmers this season and look forward to the end of season celebration coming up. Practices are done but we'll see you Friday.

Although the summer swim team is over, we don't want that to be the end of their time with the pool!  Coach Lauryn is working on sending out emails to all families to let them know recommendations for what program and level would be a great fit for your swimmer(s) as they progress into fall.  There are a lot of families so we're getting through those as soon as possible.  Lessons are ongoing now, and USA year-round team will resume Monday, July 29.  More info coming on that later for those who are year-round and new families interested.  Schedules are being finalized but I expect starting out will be similar to spring season.

Regarding Friday's celebration, the forecast is iffy but rain looks to be later.  We are adjusting the time slightly to allow for a slightly earlier start.  We will hold the event 5-7pm.  Awards at 5:30, with team pic and food to follow!  Some parents have asked about the plan if we might get rained out. If it's forecasted that the bad weather will strike in that time, we'll push it. I understand those helping with bringing food and treats would like to know sooner rather than later.  We'll do our best for a timely decision.  On that note, RSVPs and Food Signups are still open.  We are excited that 111 of our swimmers and family members have said yes so far.  Please each family bring at least a little something to share so there is plenty for everyone!  We need more nibbles to go with the pizza.

We also look forward to Friday when you can meet our incoming Head Coach, Brayden Devine, who is taking over for Lauryn as she heads off to school!  I'm excited to bring him on board with Life Time.  He comes with a strong swimming and coaching background, having worked with several year-round and summer teams in the area, and is passionate about working with kids and helping them grow not only as swimmers but great people.

That's all for now but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.  My email is [email protected] or you can call 919-582-7023.

Go Rays!!
