Meet 2 Summary and Announcements
Good evening Rays!
Thank you to everyone who came out to participate in the meet last night, we weren't quite at full strength but I appreciate everyone who was able to make it and we had some great swims from our kids! Final scores and times are now available on SwimTopia either through the app or at lifetimeraleigh.swimtopia.com.
I wanted to give some shoutouts to our swimmers that set team records for us last night, we had quite a few! Congratulations to:
Relay teams: Boys 8 & under, the Girls 9/10 and 11/12 , and boys 15-18 teams
Individual swimmers: Will Andrason, Madeleine Penner, Carson and Evan Hatefi, Paul Hibbett, Maggie and Olive Kaczmarek, Gannon Sherman, Charley Speight, Jackson Jimenez, and Saige Thornton
Next, I wanted to give shoutout's to our swimmers that improved their time in all, or all but one, of their individual swims -- congratulations to:
6& unders: Bennett Dobslaw, Penelope Hibbett, and Jax Palffy
7/8's: Bennett Penner and Wynn Witwer
9/10's: Nolan Fredrickson, James Stutzman, and Isaac Watson
11 & up's: Dezi Artis
Finally, I'm excited to announce our first installment of our Ray of the Week Awards! We are selecting two swimmers from each practice group based primarily on attention/participation during practice and being a great teammate and good sport at the meets. Special Congratulations to:
6 & Unders: Henry Stutzman and Penelope Hibbett
7/8s: Bennett Penner and Trudy Liu
9/10s: Isaac Watson and Lydia Stutzman
11 & ups: Jackson Jimenez and Lillian Brewer
Sign-ups for athletes and jobs are posted on SwimTopia for our away meet next week against Oak Park. Directions and address information for Oak Park can be found on the website under meets and events. Please try to get your sign-ups in by Saturday at 11:59pm, I'll send out another message specifically to the families that haven't indicated their attendance on Friday.
